Due to budgetary constraints, this will be the final print edition of Possibilities. We enjoy producing this publication, and would like to continue doing so by converting to an online format. Three years ago, when we tried this approach, it was only mildly successful.
It will be up to you to let us know whether an online version will meet your needs. If you would like to see us publish Possibilities electronically, please email michael-hoenig@uiowa.edu If the decision is made to discontinue publication due to lack of interest, let us take this opportunity to tell you how much we have enjoyed sharing information with you about community transitions, exemplary programs, and training events. We greatly appreciate the positive feedback which so many of you have shared over the years.
The Possibilities Editorial Team: Mike Hoenig, Mary Hubbard and Loretta Popp

The sandwich kid: a film about siblings of people with disabilities
/
produced and directed by Keri Bowers.
[Calif.]: Normal Films, [2007].
1 DVD (73 min.) #4324
Jace King, is a “sandwich kid,” whose life is a bit complicated – and enriched – by having an older brother with a disability; a brother who makes autobiographical films, no less. Not to be outdone, Jace takes his turn in front of the lens to talk about what it’s really like for a 12-year-old kid to have a sibling with autism. Other brothers and sister, running the age gamut from 6 to 59, inhabit the film along with Jace. They address the subjects that one would expect: teasing from peers and attention deficits from preoccupied parents. The ultimate question for many is their involvement in the lives of their brothers or sisters when their parents are gone.
